Health and Medical Care
Should your child become ill during the session or have an accident, which requires medical attention, we will try to contact you or one of the other numbers listed on the registration form.
All accidents, however minor, are logged in an accident book.
Please do not send your child to pre-school if he/she has:- - # infectious illness
- # conjunctivitis
- # stomach upset
If your child has had a stomach upset he/she should not come to pre-school for at least 48 hours after the sickness/diarrhoea has ceased. This is a Health and Safety stipulation to prevent the spread of such infections. Please see document below which shows advise with regards whether to attend Pre-school or not depending on the illness type (sickness information).
Our registration directs that we should not be responsible for administering medicines. However, if a case exists for long term medication we might be able to make special arrangements.
Existing Injury
All parents/carers are requested to fill in an Existing Injury Form if their child is coming into pre-school with an existing injury e.g. a large bruise or cut.
Code of Conduct
The rules for children are kept to a minimum and based on common sense; they are basically that a child should not do anything likely to harm him/herself or others, or to be unpleasant to others. Discipline rests on a mixture of example, praise, and insistence on standards. For more details see our Promoting Positive Behaviour Policy.
PRE-SCHOOL IS A NO SMOKING ENVIRONMENT
