The Role of the Parent
We recognise parents as the first and most important educators of their young children. We welcome and rely upon, the contribution of parents and other carers to the Pre-school.
The Committee
St. Nicholas is a community Pre-school, run by the parents i.e. YOU! The AGM is held annually when volunteers are needed to come on the committee. All parents/carers are entitled to nominate or be nominated for the committee. The Pre-school needs people to get involved. The committee is responsible for employing staff, reviewing policies and supporting the staff to develop this successful Pre-school. There is also the important matter of fund-raising and, of course, social events.
Our latest AGM Minutes can be found at the bottom of this page.
Fundraising
Several fund-raising events are held during the year. Your support for these events would be much appreciated. The money raised at these events enables the update of toys and equipment and helps us keep pace with technology.
A social event is usually held once a term and is guaranteed to be good fun, affording a good opportunity to get to know other parents/carers and staff a little better.
